The Emilia-Romagna Hub in Silicon Valley is located just a few blocks from downtown Palo Alto and the headquarters of Facebook, Google and Apple. A short distance from top universities such as Stanford and only a 25 minute drive from San Francisco.

In addition to direct support for individual companies, various programs have been created: the Mindset Program for startups, to fully understand the entrepreneurial mindset of Silicon Valley, the International Accelerator Program, a three-month acceleration course in California, the Business Match, dedicated to established innovative companies interested in getting in touch with Corporate Investors and possible partners or buyers in Silicon Valley.

From these experiences, innovation programs were born for all the subjects of the ecosystem, such as the Incubator Program dedicated to the managers of regional incubators and accelerators and the Corporate Immersion Program focused on Open Innovation processes dedicated to large companies in Emilia-Romagna.

To date, over a hundred regional subjects have had access to development and internationalization programs in the Bay Area

The Emilia-Romagna Region, through its presence in Silicon Valley and the programs launched, has encouraged and favored the opening of the local production system towards one of the most innovative ecosystems in the world, promoting policies to attract investments and supporting development of the dual model used by the majority of Italian entrepreneurs in the United States and in the Bay Area.

Furthermore, since 2018 the Region, again through ART-ER, by maintaining and strengthening the Hub in Silicon Valley, has extended the action of its presence to all of North America, with the aim of developing new contacts with specific sectoral ecosystems such as Detroit for automotive and mechanics, Boston for biotech or Montreal for Artificial Intelligence.
